When will my order be shipped?

Orders are generally shipped within 10 business days from the date of order unless otherwise stated.  For example, custom orders have different shipping times.  

 

Do you ship internationally?

Yes we have partnered with International Checkout. For more information please visit our Shipping Page.

 

How much does shipping cost?​

Full details of our shipping costs can be found within our shipping policy.

 

How do I redeem my free shipping?

Free shipping is offered for orders of 200 chf or more.  The discount is automatically applied.

What carrier do you recommend for return shipping?

For your protection, we recommend that you return all items via a traceable carrier and method. Spiritedchild is not responsible for packages lost or not received if a tracking number is not provided. You are responsible for prepaying your return shipment; Spiritedchild will not accept unpaid deliveries.

 

Can I ship to an address other than my own?

Yes, please state this at the checkout

 

What if I change my mind and want a different size or color after I just placed my order placed?

If you’d like to make a change please contact us immediately at spiritedchild2014@gmail.com

 

How do I initiate a return?

If for any reason you are not satisfied with an item you receive from Spiritedchild, we will be happy to issue a return or exchange, within 30 days of purchase, provided that the item is still in its original packaging and has not been worn or washed. Spiritedchild items purchased from us must be returned with their original tags and packaging. Original shipping charges are non-refundable. To initiate a return, please contact us directly at spiritedchild2014@gmail.com

Unfortunately, we cannot refund Custom order items since the sizes, designs are made specifically to your requests.

 

Do I have to pay for the return shipping?

Yes. At this time you are responsible for returns to us, however we do offer free shipping on exchanges.

 

Can I Return Or Exchange Items That Were Purchased On Sale?

All items purchased on sale or marked down cannot be returned or exchanged.

 

How long does it take to process my return?

Once your return shipment is received at Spiritedchild, please allow 2-3 weeks to credit the correct amount to your credit card. 

 

Can I return an item I bought at a retail store to your website?

If you purchased an item from one of our boutique sites, you must contact the retailer directly about their return policy. Spiritedchild online cannot accept returns for items purchased through a retailer.

 

How do I exchange an item?

• Explain fully the reason for the return, confirming it has not be used or washed and what you would like it to be exchanged for​

 

Once we have received your exchange request.  We will confirm to you the next stage, which will be for you to send your item back to us.

 

When will my exchanged item be shipped to me?

If you are exchanging an item, it will be shipped to you via standard shipping times stated above. Due to the nature of our busniess, all our products are handmade therefore the standard processing times still apply for exchanges.

 

What do I do if my item arrives damaged?

Customer satisfaction is our goal at Spiritedchild. Please contact us directly if your item has arrived damaged.

 

Where Is My Order Confirmation?

As soon as your order ships, you will receive an email confirmation to the email address you entered on your order. If for any reason you did not receive an email, please check your spam folder. You can also check your order status by signing into your account on our website.

 

Do you offer Gift Packaging?

Gift packaging is offered FREE with all purchases at Spiritedchild.

 

How do I return a gift I received from your website?

Spiritedchild will happily issue a store credit for all gift returns, as long as the item is returned within 30 days of purchase and has not been worn or washed. Please contact us directly at spiritedchild2914@gmail.com to discuss.

How do I know which size straps to purchase?

We offer a size guide for all baby carrier, stroller and car seat straps on our product pages at Spiritedchild. If you need any additional assistance please feel free to contact us at any time.

 

I Get An Error Message When I Enter My Shipping And Billing Addresses. What’s Going On?

If you are receiving an error message, there may be a problem with your credit card or Paypal information, billing or shipping address. The billing address should match exactly what your credit card or Paypal account has on file. Please review all information closely and look for any typos. Also, try re-formatting the names and addresses in your billing information (this often solves the issue).

 

Are there any limitations regarding promotion codes?

Only one promotion code can be applied to each order.

 

What methods of payment do you accept?

Spiritedchild currently accepts the following payment methods: Direct Bank transfer and Paypal.

 

Do you accept international credit cards?

Not at the moment.

 

I am interested in showcasing Spiritedchild products in my retail store, who should I contact?

How do I care for my purchase?

Since you are now be devoting a major portion of your life to doing laundry, here are some suggestions to make it easier:

 

Before throwing items in the washer, always read the care label.

 

Strap accessories:

Turn straps inside out to keep them from pilling.   Secure all snaps and close velcro attachments.  Wash on a cool wash up to 40 degrees.  Fabrics have been prewashed to prevent shrinkage, however with all farbics further shrinkage can occur.  Dry flat and iron for best results

 

Fabric Washable Mats:

Our Mats benefit from being left open and the bags turned inside out with the colouring fabric on the outside.  Wash on a cool wash up to 40 degrees.  Fabrics have been prewashed to prevent shrinkage, however with all fabrics further shrinkage can occur.  Tumble drying Colouring Mats and bags is not recommended.  Dry flat and iron for best results.

 

First Aid pouches:

First aid pouches are made from laminated cotton, therefore it is recommended that they are hand washed only.  DO NOT iron laminated fabric.

 

Eco-Friendly snack pouches:

Open zips and pull our lining.  Wash on a cool wash up to 40 degrees.  Fabrics have been prewashed to prevent shrinkage, however with all fabrics further shrinkage can occur.  Snack pouches can also be hand washed.  Dry flat and do not iron, as the waterproof fabric may melt.

 

Blankets (including Memory Blankets):

When it’s time to wash your blanket pop it on a cool wash, low spin.  Allow to dry flat to maintain shape.  Warm iron ONLY on the cotton side.  Do not iron the minky (soft) side as this will damage the dimples.

 

A note on tumble drying:  Always dry on a low heat setting. High heat increases shrinkage in natural fibers. 

 

Do the pens really wash out?

 

Yes!  The pens that come with the mats and bags are 100% washable.  

 

 

Our pens ran out for the Colouring Mats what pens can I buy to replace?

 

We sell replacement pen sets.  Please contact us directly to order more.

All our mats and bags are supplied with washable pens specifically made for children.  The brand of pens used vary from time to time however, through extensive testing I find the most appropriate washable pens for this fabic are Crayola, Stablio and Bic.  Most hobby store or online shops sell washable pens.

Can I use permanent fabric pens?

 

Permanent fabric pens are a great way to treasure your child's artwork.  Our Colouring Mats and Bags can be coloured in with permanent fabric pens, iron and the colours will set.  Ideal for older children who want to show off their art work for longer.  Please note you will not be able to wash out permanent fabric pens if you decide to use them.  If you would prefer permanent pens instead of washable I can supply these for you at no extra cost.  Once the colouring mat or bag has been coloured in, iron it to seal the colours.

BEESWAX WRAPS -FAQ's

CARE:

 

Wraps are washable and can be cleaned in the kitchen sink with dish detergent and warm water (avoid hot water).  They should not be machine washed since this will destroy the beeswax.  Beeswax wraps are not recommended for raw meats or liquids.

 

Wraps will last up to a year with recommended care and can be composted after use.  After a year creased and otherwise worn looking wraps can be re-waxed.

My wrap doesn't seem to stick anymore.  What can I do?

After a few months you may notice your wrap does not stick or fuse as it used to.  It is possible to redistribute the wax on your wax and also sterilise the wrap.  To do this, pre heat the oven to 100 C and lay the wrap on some baking paper. Pop the wrap into the oven for maximum 5 mins.  When you take the wrap out immediately lift it off the baking paper and 'swish' it in the air to dry.  The wax dries very quickly so be quick!  Your wrap will now feel renewed and ready to use.

What size wraps do you offer?

Beeswax wraps are available in 5 sizes:

MINI 15 x 15 cm

SMALL 20 x 20 cm

MEDIUM 25 x 25 cm

LARGE 33 x 33 cm

Ex-LARGE 40x40 cm

I want to make my own wraps, how do I do it?

At Spiritedchild we offer a pre-mixed blended block for you to use on your own fabric.  Perhaps you have some cotton fabric laying around that would make great beeswax wraps.  When you purchase our kits you will be given full instructions on how to make your wraps.  How much wax you need to purchase will depend on how many wraps you'd like to make.  Below is a guide to sizes and wax blend needed.  Please note this is only a guide as fabric weights vary and thicker fabrics will naturally need more wax.

50g will do 1 large wrap (33x33cm approx.) and a mini OR up to 4 medium wraps! Perfect for those wanting to hand make their own lunch wrap or make a starter collection.  This option is also good for touching up existing wraps.

100g will do 1 Extra Large wrap (40x40cm approx.) and a medium OR up to 8 medium wraps! Its great value and perfect for those wanting to hand make their own stash of wraps. 

200g Have a crafty afternoon with friends and make up to 16-20 wraps!! This will do 3 Extra Large wraps (40x40cm approx.) OR a large number of smaller sizes. It's perfect for making for your own big stash or make some gifts. 

300g The big one!  Have a beeswax wrap making party!  A great evening with friends to share the blended wax and making experience.  Our largest selection will do several large wraps and 20 medium wraps and with probably some wax left over.  

Face Coverings

How to wear and care for your Face covering:

🔹Remember face coverings are to aide good hygiene habits, also encouraging you and your family not to touch your face.  They are not medical grade products and should not be used for this purpose.

 

🔹We recommend washing or ironing your face covering before first use and after every use at 60 degrees.

 

🔹Wash hands before handling the face covering. It should fit snugly and comfortably against the side of your face and tied securely with the ties/loops.

 

🔹When removing the face-covering use the ties/loops but do not grab the front of the mask to remove it from your face.

 

🔹If your face covering has a filter pocket, always remove before washing and dispose of the filter, replacing it with a new one before reusing your mask again.

 

🔹Face coverings should be stored in a dry covered container/bag until you’re are ready to wear them again.

 

🔹Please remember to wash your hands regularly and distance yourself from others.
